Youth Vision launched as its own organization in September 2025, with Ray Villegas leading it.
Ray called Blaze Fest the flagship pathway: a week for fifty students, ages fourteen to eighteen, across MCing, DJing, beat making, breaking, and graffiti. In April 2026 he asked us for its brand and the event pieces around it.
Ray wanted the identity built on a triangle mark we had drawn for Blaze Fest earlier. He also asked for lettering that people in graffiti culture would respect.
The icon is geometric, a triangle with a tag stroke cut into it. The wordmark is hand-lettered: graffiti letters for Blaze, a handstyle tag for Fest. The style guide gives each its own lockup.
The deck built the icon from two parts: the blaze and a tag marker.
The style guide asks these to identify the brand on their own, with no logo in the frame.
Each of the five disciplines got its own instructional area. The graphics put the wordmark over the track name, one palette color per track.
An A-frame points people to the application. A desk graphic sets the theme line four and a half feet wide.
An 11-by-17-inch poster, a 4-by-4-inch flyer, a 7-by-10-inch card, and two 5.5-by-8.5-inch booklets: the student guide and the showcase program.
Three shirt designs, front and back. The stickers: the Blaze Fest badge, the Youth Vision monogram, and the two marks side by side.
Registration graphics for the application push and the countdown. Two stories for the showcase: one from Youth Vision, one written for students to send.
Our own Blaze Fest post went out in July: the logo animated through the palette, and the page design mocked up on laptop and phone.
