Discovery gave us the brief in the client's own words: strong, spiritual, professional, community. Two moodboards went to the team—one clean and institutional, inspired by heritage and driven by progress; one analog, built on strong typography and photographic layouts. The direction that won carries both: a confident DCM monogram, concentric rings for the sound, electric blue against black, and an italic serif that gives the type its voice.
Two lines came out of discovery and both made it onto the work: "Who He is & what He's done" and "Downloading the sound of heaven." They run across the system—a mural, transit posters, artist-night flyers, screens, and a fifteen-second motion piece—and every surface still reads as The District Church.
