Kroger Studios hired us to cover one stop of the Kroger Health Wellness Tour, a free health and wellness festival that travels between cities. Our scope ran from pre-production through asset delivery, with raw files only. Kroger Health's own team does the edit.
That changed the job. We had one day to capture the festival, and then the footage had to be easy for someone else to cut.
Raw footage from three cameras means a lot of logging for whoever edits it. We catalogued every clip into ten story threads and transcribed the interview and event audio, so Kroger's editor could start from selects instead of from folders.
A RED rig covered the on-camera interviews. A handheld camera and a gimbal camera worked the floor, and a stills camera ran alongside them. Each rig recorded its own audio as well.
How the day moved from the cameras to Kroger's editor.
